Kaisa:

* Business College Helsinki, Lecturer: guidance and teaching of students of the vocational degree in Business Administration. Courses included customer service, entrepreneurship, sustainability, customer relationship management, working life, art and creative expression, performance management. Students were mainly adults with a migrant background.

* North Karelia Adult Education Centre, Director of Adult Education: responsible for the financial and operational performance of the services education sector in the North Karelia region in 2007-2013.  Leading 6 teams, about 80 employees, with turnover over 6 M€.

* Northern Karelia Adult Education Centre, trainer: starting training for a vocational business degree (business administration) as the first teacher in 2003. Management training as JET (Specialist Qualification in Management) examination supervisor and trainer in 2003-2007, clients included the City of Joensuu, the City of Lieksa, the Municipality of Ilomantsi and the Luovi Special Education Institute.

* Joensuun Tiedepuisto Oy, Business Consultant: Application process for the European Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) directly from the EU Commission DGXIV in Brussels, participation in the training of new BIC leaders and launch of BIC activities in Joensuu, the first in Finland. Successful implementation of the BIC Congress application process and winning the competition, which resulted, in the organisation of an international congress of BIC managers (more than 200 guests from all over Europe) in Joensuu, North Karelia.

* Sofine Plastics Oy, entrepreneur/CEO. Product development, export and import of educational materials and software for the plastics and tooling industry, mainly to and from Sweden, France, England, Germany and Spain. SOFINE plastic raw material selection software is a product/service still on sale, marketed by Timpas Ltd.

Helena:

* AMKE Oy, Development Manager, Finnish VET networks and management projects (EULIVET; DYNAMO) and education development projects: (AIPAL, apprenticeship development, promoting well-being at work, and promoting the effectiveness of education), Network management: the VIMMA communication network, HRD networks, for principals and developers.

* The TT project involved dozens of simultaneous projects: Digital Communication curriculum, Intercultural Interaction Master's programme, Business Economics and International Business Communication curriculum at the Helsinki School of Economics, Working Life in Education, Cooperation with subject associations, IT learning space Humina, design, implementation and introduction, two new IT teaching classes, HumIT courses, IT skills for humanists.

* Lifelong Learning (formerly Adult Learners' Week) annual campaigns in 2006-2014, funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture and individual companies, with Helsingin Sanomat as main partner, interspersed with a 12-page tabloid education supplement. In addition, a large, fair-type main event: 3000 visitors and 30 exhibitors per year. The campaign supported several hundred event organisers across the country.

* University of Joensuu, Centre for Continuing Education, International, Euro Tourist Project, Euro Tourist was an ADAPT initiative project funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). Nine European countries cooperated in the Euro Tourist consortium: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Wales, the Netherlands, Sweden and Finland. The main objective of the project was to improve the skills of tourism workers in order to prevent unemployment and to create and safeguard jobs by improving tourism skills.
