The Leadership in the Age of AI seminar and meeting, organized as part of the AI Leaders project, took place in Jyväskylä on 29 January 2026 in an inspiring atmosphere. Throughout the day, we discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the future of work and leadership, and how organizations can utilize AI in developing their business operations.

The highlight of the seminar was the keynote speech by Professor Pekka Abrahamsson from Tampere University. In his unique and thorough presentation, he explored the ways AI can boost and accelerate business, as well as create new innovative solutions.

Abrahamsson emphasized that the use of AI cannot be based on experimentation alone—organizations also need ownership, decision-making, and accountability:

"AI should be harnessed into the company's operations and processes, becoming a part of its business activities," Abrahamsson noted.

We also discussed how organizations need to be protected from "AI smudge": AI increases execution capacity, but without prioritization the risk is a lot of activity with little impact. Naturally, topics such as information security and compliance with EU legislation were also covered. AI is already here; the question now is how to use it intelligently, responsibly, and broadly.

Innostus Oy participates in the AI Leaders project as a corporate partner. Other participating organizations include major actors such as Elisa, Wärtsilä, Futuai Oy, VTT, the University of Jyväskylä, and Aava & Bang. The project is led by Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. The aim is to ensure that the research results can be widely used to support the digital transformation of Finnish working life.

The Regenerative Leadership seminar organized by the AI Leaders project attracted a large audience despite the early start and the freezing temperatures. Appreciative collaboration, valuable insights, and engaging discussions among various stakeholders enriched the project's progress.
